The weather’s finally been good enough to go for a swim in the river. It’s not exactly warm in the water, but it’s pleasant enough.
I managed to have a decent swim four days in a row, from Sunday to Wednesday. Wednesday was borderline and if it had been any colder i wouldn’t have gone in. But yesterday it was cold and rainy, so i didn’t even think about swimming. High tide’s getting a bit late now, anyway – it was about half past eight yesterday evening. This week i’ve been learning all about film making and video editing. Well, perhaps not all about it yet, but i will!
I’ve been thinking for a while that i should have a go at video production. I’ve never done any and i feel it’s something i should be able to do. I don’t know why, but having a handle on the whole of the multi media thing seems like a good idea. I guess i’m still feeling my way through developing a new career direction and being able to offer a wide range of IT and multimedia skills seems to be the way to go. … Read more »

It’s hard to believe, but i’ve been in England for six months now! I got here in the evening on the last day of November last year. I’m quite amazed that six months has gone so fast. I don’t even seem to have really done anything much since i’ve been here. Apart from starting up my internet publishing empire, of course – which seems to be going nowhere fast.

The other day i was looking at how frequently certain words are used as search terms on google. Two words i looked up were “happiness” and “depression”. The results were rather surprising…
Curiously, Australia is the country where most searches for both of those terms originate. Perhaps the place isn’t the paradise that everyone else in the world thinks it is!
